When is the Carnival in February 2017

Hi,

Looking to go to Florence in February and wanted to know the dates for the Carnival and if needed to purchase tickets for it.

Can you also advise what else is on in February.

Hi Lisa,
There is no Carnival per se in Florence in February - it is just a month in which there is a festive atmosphere and several carnival related parties and events on. So there is no ticket to purchase for any specific occasion. On the night of Martedi Grass (Mardi Gras), there are lots of parties in locales since this is the last day of the carnival period - it is Tuesday 28 February in 2017. The downtown will be full of people dressed up!
