travelling to Florence on the a Sunday in August

Hello there,
I will be travelling to Florence on August 16th, 2015 and I was wondering if any of the stores, shops, markets will be opened?

Hello Anita,
The week you mention is the biggest holiday week in Italy, so several stores will certainly be closed. However, many shops - especially those in the downtown area - will be open.
There will be enough shops open to have a decent shopping trip I should think!
